Everyone wants to have beautiful skin but skin products are usually pretty expensive (at least the good ones). Little do you know, there are great alternatives to these expensive products that you can make yourself. They take a few ingredients that you most likely have in your kitchen already. They are super easy and if you do have to buy some of the ingredients, you won’t be spending more than five dollars.
Green Tea Sugar Scrub
This green tea sugar scrub will leave your skin super soft. The sugar exfoliates while the green tea acts as a toner. Just mix 3 tablespoons of white sugar and 1 teaspoon of green tea. Then you can add an ingredient of your choice. You can use honey, lemon, or yogurt. I like to use either baby oil or lemon. Lemon is good for cleansing and adding baby oil just makes your skin even softer. After mixing the ingredients together, spread the scrub around your face then rub in a circular motion using your fingertips. Rinse off the scrub with warm water after 1-2 minutes of exfoliating. For additional toning, you can pour the remaining green tea onto a cotton swab and rub it onto your face allowing it to dry.
Pudding and Milk Face Peel
You most likely have these two ingredients in your kitchen already. This peel is great for removing black heads. You should use a teaspoon of a pack of pudding and a teaspoon of milk. Mix the ingredients together then put it In the microwave for about 15 seconds. Dab it on your face and let it dry until it is hard and rubbery. Then, peel it off of your face. You will see all of the black heads come out.
Oatmeal and Honey Facemask
Oatmeal is great for the skin because it has cleansing properties. Honey hydrates the skin and locks in moisture. Combining these ingredients can make a face mask that is great for acne. First, you want to grind up the oatmeal as much as possible (it is easiest to put it in a blender). Mix ¼ cup of oatmeal, ¼ cup of water, and 2 teaspoons of honey together. Apply the mask all over your face and keep it on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water and your done. It’s super easy and really cheap.
Apple Cider Vinegar and Green Tea Toner
The acidity in apple cider vinegar is good for killing bacteria meaning acne. Green tea along with being a toner contains antioxidants. You will need an empty bottle for this recipe (a tiny spray bottle or anything). Pour the apple cider vinegar into the bottle until it is 1/3 full. Then take your green tea (make sure it is cooled down) and pour it into the bottle to fill it up. If the vinegar odor is too strong, you can add essential oil. I like to add lemon juice for its added skin benefits. Shake the bottle to mix the ingredients then put it onto a cotton swab and rub in onto your face in a circular motion. You don’t need to rinse so you can just go right to bed (I recommend doing this before bed). Use this toner to get rid of your acne.
