Have you ever heard about Turmeric? It’s a spice used in a lot of Indian dishes. Despite it flavor enhancing proprieties; it’s great for your skin. In fact, before their wedding, Indian Brides use turmeric facial masks to give them a beautiful glow.
It’s been said that turmeric facial masks can help reduce and eliminate breakout during your period, clear acne marks and dark under eye circles.
Here is a great mask recipe from www.Dhukai.com
2 Tbsp Gram Flour (aka Chickpea or Garbanzo Bean Flour)
1 Tbsp Almond Oil
1/2 Tsp Turmeric
Milk (enough to make a good consistency)
- Put everything in a bowl and mix it until you get a creamy orange paste.
- Make sure your face is freshly washed and apply the mask on. (Caution! Turmeric stains, so you may want to wear gloves to prevent getting yellow finger nails. The yellowing is what will give your face the brilliant glow.)
- Leave the mask on your face until it dries.
- When it does wash it off. (*Tip. It’s best to wash the mask off in the shower, as it can get really messy when it comes off.)
There you have it! You’ll have beautiful glowing skin, and if used regularly, like twice a week, clear skin in no time.
What’s great about this mask is if you have any leftover you can put it in an air tight container and store it in your fridge to use at a later date. What’s even better, if you feel a pimple coming on, just dab some of the mask on the spot. Wait for it to dry, and then wash it off. That pimple won’t think twice about coming back.
