A New Alternative to Breakfast

Growing up we were all told how important breakfast is. In reality, this is very true. Breakfast helps to fuel our body so that we will have the energy to face the day to come. Unfortunately many of us do not have the time to make breakfast before leaving the house and if we stop and get breakfast, we can waist a lot of money on some options that will not give us the nutrients that we need.
A few months ago I began drinking smoothies to substitute a meal since I am always on the he go. I would normally take one with me to work and drink throughout the day since I would not always get the chance to eat. Eventually this smoothie became the new way I started every day. the key to these smoothies is that I would have a base of some type of vegtable. I would then add fruit to give me the flavor that I desired. It is a great alternative to breakfast because it gives you all of the vitamin and minerals that you need to have the energy for your busy day, but it also helps you with the servings of fruits and vegetables that you need for the day.

*Listed below are a few of my favorite ingredients for my breakfast smoothie. You can add other fruits to it to sweeten it. It may also be helpful to freeze your fruit, this will make the smoothie thicker. Or you can add ice for texture.

2 cups of Spinach
1 cup of Strawberries
1/2 cup of Blue Berries
1/2 cup of Black Berries
1 Banana
1 cup of Aloe Vera juice

2 cups of Kale
1/2 cup of Pineapples
1 cup of Strawberries
1 cup of Rasberries
1 cup of Water

2 cups of Spinach
2 Bananas
1 cup of Penut Butter
1 cup of Milk
