Sleep. Does anyone know that is anymore? Probably not! It seems like no one is getting the required 8 hours of sleep nowadays. While late nights may seem necessary, fun and/or memorable in the moment, little to no sleep can negatively affect your health and delay progress in getting things done. The amount of shut-eye you get has a huge impact on your performance, alertness, memory and automobile safety.
You can fix insufficient sleep patterns before it’s too late! Just manage your time and complete your tasks in an organized manner. Not handling this can lead to some long term health effects in the future. Some of these include:
- High blood pressure
- Heart attack
- Heart failure
- Psychiatric problems, including depression and other mood disorders
- Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
- Mental impairment
- Injury from accidents
- Poor quality of life
Also, many people may not realize that sleeping is a time for the body to heal itself from your day’s rigor- this includes helping to get rid of those bags/dark circles under your eyes, red eyes and that “flushed” pale complexion. Get some beauty rest to look and feel better!
